IIMA is centrally located in
Atlanta, Georgia, home of Coca-Cola, the 1996 Olympics and the Civil Rights
Movement. Next door to the museum building is Al-Farooq Masjid, one of the
largest Masjids in the southeastern US.
Dar-un-Noor School, a
well-established private Islamic school and Dar-ul-Uloom School for memorization
of Quran are both located just across the street from the museum. Beside of the
museum is Mosaic, a brand new halal restaurant and market for Atlanta’s growing
Muslim community.
Located at 410 14th Street,
the museum is just minutes from downtown Atlanta’s thriving central business
district. The museum is also located within minutes of several universities,
including Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, Morehouse College, and Emory
University to name a few.
In addition, Atlanta’s
Hartsfield International Airport is the busiest airport in the world. Atlanta is
also the capital of the South and is home to more than 100,000 Muslims utilizing
